Super Bowl-the most important game of the season. The opponent-poverty and isolation.
SUPERNet's
Super Bowl is our opportunity to break the cycle of poverty in many of our rural
communities by creating skilled learners who can successfully attain advanced
training then return to our communities bringing economic development and job
opportunities. The time is now, as technology offers us the ability for innovative
applications to level the playing field for our high needs students. We cannot afford
to miss this window, otherwise we lose the game. We have made the preparations and worked
through" training camp". Our " offensive (high school) team" is primed
to use innovative strategies for the delivery of specialized and rigorous courses and
curricula through the use of interactive, learner-centered technology to
overcome geographical distances and insufficient resources. The
"defensive (K-8) team" is ready to integrate TEKS-based teaching and
learning with technology (including electronically accessible curricula) to ensure that
all students are competent to take advantage of the media-rich learning environment.
The Special Teams (community outreach) are ready to get their job done. We
are ready to place our teams on the field.
